Running Springs Talent Show

Calling all Running Springs talent! We are looking for dancers, singers, performers, comedians, actors, and musicians to show off your skills at our upcoming talent show. Winter break is the perfect time to work on your acts.
Talent Show Applications will be accepted online starting at 9:00AM on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 through Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 9:00PM. All students are welcome to submit their applications online during this period. No late applications will be accepted.
The following information will be required to fill out the online application form:
* All performer’s names, grade levels and teachers
* Song Request: Song Approvals are NOT final until they have been reviewed at auditions.
* Type of performance (i.e., dance, singing, playing an instrument, skit, etc.)
* Title of the act
* Parent’s contact phone number and email address (parent signing up a group will be the group’s one main contact)
Due to the large number of acts, submissions are accepted on a first come first served basis, which will occur based on the dated and time-stamped online submission. Once your application is submitted, you will be contacted via email with a confirmation of your song request and act and a link to sign up for your audition time.
No duplicate music will be allowed. Once again, this will be determined based on the submission date and time of the application.
Mandatory Talent Show Auditions will be held Tuesday, January 23rd through Thursday, January 25th.
All participants in the Talent Show must have their parent or guardian fill out, print and sign the forms which will be distributed at your child’s audition. At least one parent per act will be required to attend the auditions and all rehearsals. (Please do not send your students alone!)
One parent PER PERFORMER must sign up for at least ONE HOUR of volunteering. A Volunteer Spot link will be sent out after sign-ups for parents to choose how they’d like to volunteer.
This is a school event. Therefore, all OUSD school dress codes apply (excluding current uniform policy). Dance attire shorts, bare mid-drifts or clothing with inappropriate or vulgar writing will not be allowed.
Music choices must be kid-friendly! Songs with inappropriate lyrics, non kid-friendly music videos or other controversial items will not be allowed. Please choose wisely and consider “Kid Bop” versions also.
A copy of the requested song’s lyrics MUST be provided at the time of the student’s audition.
All music and costumes must be appropriate for a school assembly and must be approved.

January 23-25: Talent Show Auditions
February 6-8: Talent Show Rehearsals
February 20-22: Talent Show Rehearsals
February 28: Sound Check
March 1: Dress Rehearsal
March 1: Talent Show
All students who are currently enrolled at Running Springs Elementary may apply to be in the talent show. Only 6th graders may apply to be Emcees.
