A Message from your Running Springs PTA President
Hello Running Springs Families!
Spring has begun and so has lots of fun for our kiddos! A number of our grade levels will be enjoying their grade level assemblies this spring. PTA is proud to fund a grade level assembly for every grade and two school wide assemblies for everyone to enjoy! Those PTA sponsored assemblies that have been enjoyed or will be enjoyed this year are…. TK / Kinder – Animals All Around 1st Grade – Scales or Slime 2nd Grade – 8 Legs or 6 3rd Grade – Reaction Lab 4th Grade – Jacque Nunez 5th Grade – Walk Thru The American Revolution 6th Grade – Homer’s Odyssey and Dare to Dance All Grade Levels – Art Masters Program, Music Assembly & Baba the Storyteller Thank you to Lisa Grisotti for scheduling all these amazing assemblies!!!
The 3rd Graders will participate in the annual Bike Rodeo this month! Thank you to Maria Hill and her committee for all their time and hard work into making this such a memorable event!
The Spring also has brought our annual PTA elections. Thank you again to all of those who have served on the board this past year! Congratulations to all of our new 2016-2017 Executive Board! We are currently filling our Chairman Positions for next year. If you are interested in getting more involved, please contact me. We have a wonderful group of parents, but we need more parents to jump in and help with all we do for our school! Many of our upper grade parents are leaving us and we need to fill the gaps! We especially need lower grade parents, since they are the future of our PTA. I know there are a number of misconceptions about PTA…. “it’s clicky”, “they only invite their friends”, “I still have kids at home, so I can’t help”…. All of that is the FURTHEST from the TRUTH! Running Springs PTA is filled with parents who are committed to make ALL the students at our school have the best experience possible! They are hardworking, generous and welcome EVERYONE!!!! So don’t be shy….. Come join us at our next PTA Meeting on Thursday, April 14th at 8:15am in the MPR and find out what a great group of parents we have and how YOU can make a difference!
I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break!
