Dear Running Springs Parents,

As a school we value the input from our parents and community.  We would greatly appreciate it if you could complete our school survey, through the link below by Friday, May 29th:
survey
The results of this survey will be used as a guide to determine the funding priorities at Running Springs School in order to best meet the needs of all students. In addition, we are also seeking input regarding school climate, curriculum and instruction, and parent involvement to gauge the need for improvement in any of these areas. Thank you for your assistance in this process and for completing this survey.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Antoinette Coe
Principal

Teacher Appreciation Week

* Teacher Appreciation Week *index

To show our appreciation to our teachers, Running Springs has elected the week of May 11 – May 15 to honor those faculty members at our school who inspire and enhance our children’s education. There will be detailed information coming home with your children on what will be occurring during Teacher Appreciation Week. So please be looking for that.

Also, although we encourage everyone to participate, this is truly an optional event. How it works is, each day of the week is represented with a special gift of acknowledgment, and, each morning the different grade levels will provide breakfast for all the teachers and staff. All breakfast items need to be in the Teachers’ lounge by 7:15 each morning to allow the teachers time to eat their breakfast before school starts.

Gift days and breakfast day assignments are listed below:

As you can see, this week involves of lot of activity. The school will be needing volunteers every day, and we could really use your help!  It will be very quick and will not take up a lot of your time!! Please contact me if and when you can help.  It will be all set up and clean up stuff, nothing too strenuous!

Sincerely,
Jenn Loving & Jill Parkin

A Message from your PTA President

sunIn May, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Please keep an eye out for the daily schedule so all of our students can participate and appreciate their teacher. Thank you in advance for helping to make the wonderful teachers and staff here at Running Springs feel valued and appreciated. Thank you also to Jennifer Loving who will be our PTA hostess for the week of Teacher Appreciation – your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Open house is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th at 6:30pm. Please join us in the Multipurpose Room as we begin the evening by announcing this year’s HSA recipients and then end the night by visiting our children’s classrooms. The students are always so excited to show off all their hard work!

Although the year is winding down, PTA is gearing up and preparing for another eventful school year. We are always looking for friendly faces and new volunteers. Please refer to the open PTA positions found in this newsletter or on our website and contact Laura Pistoresi for more information or to volunteer!

Information regarding next year’s one and only PTA Fundraiser, our Annual Redhawk Run-A-Thon, will be coming home soon. This event funds our entire budget for all the programs and activities PTA Sponsors. This information will be coming home in your child’s communication folder.

Please join us on June 4th at the Anaheim Hills Country Club for our Installation Breakfast and last PTA Meeting of the year. This is always a fun time to gather with friends and we truly hope that you will be able to attend.

Come June, I will be ending my 2-year term as PTA President at Running Springs and I would like to take this time to personally THANK YOU – our parents, staff, and students for all your help and support. I couldn’t have done this job without YOU or served a better school or community!

Have a wonderful and safe summer!

Sincerely,
Jennifer Ahrendt
PTA President
