Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week at Running Springs

Running Springs had another fun Red Ribbon Week! Many students participated in the daily activities!

We certainly had lots of crazy hair, cool shades, backwards outfits and team spirit. And not to mention a lot of orange and black on Friday! Thank you to all our parents who took the extra time during their mornings to add this component to their busy routines!

As you can imagine, all those bright red ribbons do not appear magically on the front of the school, so a very special thank you needs to be given to the following families who came out to decorate the school ~ The Candela Family, The Clark Family, The Hendrickson Family, The Jarvi Family, The May Family, The Nguyen Family, The Schley Family and The Showler Family. It looked wonderful…. THANK YOU!

Thank you to all our teachers for helping pass out bracelets and candy! It was fun to see that some of them even took part in the fun! Because of everyone’s help, Running Spring’s students certainly got our message that “The Best Me is Drug Free”! Great Job Everyone!

Ghost Town Round-Up

Wow, what an amazing night of good ‘ole fashion family fun! We had such a spectacular turn out this year, with crowds of families that lasted throughout the night! The Photo booth and the Cake Walk (as always) were a huge hit, and the aroma of The Habit Food Truck filled the air and drew us in. Thank you for making the pre sale food ticket option easy. Kona Ice was a huge hit as well and gave a portion of the profits back to the school.

We want to thank all of our Running Springs families for their participation, especially those who volunteered their time and donated items for our amazing raffle baskets. Your generosity is truly appreciated! We hope your children enjoyed wearing their costumes and all the new games and booths! The Spirit Booth was a added bonus this year with the Redhawks belts, socks, and bows. We had the ghost town games and prizes which are always a hit and once again the Teacher Raffle which extended our Family Fun Night fun to Monday was a blast! We have so many great memories from planning the event and throughout the evening, but probably the most memorable point was when 8:00 pm sadly rolled around and our Ranch was not only still packed, but we heard the disappointment from several families as they said they did not want to leave!

Again, we hope you enjoyed this year’s Round-Up and on behalf of the Running Springs PTA, we hope to see y’all again next year!

Please contact the FFN committee if you would want to be part of the planning for next year at We start brainstorming at the end of the school year and it’s a lot of fun!
