5th Annual Run-A-Thon

THE 5th ANNUAL REDHAWK RUN-A-THON

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2014

PLEASE HELP SUPPORT OUR
ONE & ONLY PTA FUNDRAISER FOR THE YEAR!

This will be the PTA’s ONLY FUNDRAISER for the year, which will fund our entire PTA budget. This budget includes: supplemental student programs, assemblies, additional physical education personnel & supplies, just to name a few.  In order to fund our budget, we need everyone’s support.  We are asking each student to set a goal & do their best to reach out to 10 people for $10 each.  Our kick off assembly will take place on Friday, August 29, 2014, at which time your child will come home with their pledge form instructions & exciting prize information.

In order for this event to be successful we are turning to our local business owners & our Running Springs families that may have businesses of their own to become our Community Partners.

Community Partners/Sponsors Forms and donations must be received by September 5th, in order to have your name on the back of the T-shirts!

Go To Fun Run Page to download forms HERE

Thank you in advance for supporting our 5th Annual Running Springs Run-A-thon!

A Message from your PTA President

As the school year comes to a close, we would like to take the opportunity to thank all of you who have supported PTA and our school. Your involvement has made 2013-2014 a fantastic school year! Whether you served on the PTA Executive Board, chaired a PTA sponsored event, volunteered to help with events, or supported your child’s classroom, YOU have made a difference in the quality of education for all Running Springs students. Thank you!

In May, we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. Please keep an eye out for the daily schedule so all of our students can participate and appreciate their teacher. Thank you in advance for helping to make the wonderful teachers and staff here at Running Springs feel valued and appreciated. Thank you also to Jennifer Loving who will be our PTA hostess for the week of Teacher Appreciation – your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Open house is scheduled for Thursday, May 29th at 6:30pm. Please join us in the Multipurpose Room as we begin the evening by announcing this year’s HSA recipients and then end the night by visiting our children’s classrooms. The students are always so excited to show off all their hard work!

Although the year is winding down, PTA is gearing up and preparing for another eventful school year. We are always looking for friendly faces and new volunteers. Please refer to the open PTA positions found in this newsletter or on our website and contact me for more information or to volunteer!

Information regarding next year’s one and only PTA Fundraiser, the Fourth Annual Redhawk Run-A-Thon, will be coming home soon. This event funds our entire budget for all the programs and activities PTA Sponsors. This information will be coming home your child’s communication folder.

Lastly, please join us on June 5th at the Anaheim Hills Country Club for our Installation Breakfast and last PTA Meeting of the year. This is always a fun time to gather with friends and we truly hope that you will be able to attend.
Have a wonderful and safe summer.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Ahrendt, RSPTA President
